“ Surprisingly nice service, they keep this up and they'll lose authenticity points ;) Got the beef tendon lo mein. Thought the noodles could use more chew and more seasoning. There's parking in the back but there's some navigation involved. I wouldn't mind coming back but I'd probably be more likely to go to the HK cafe on broadway for ease of access and more comfortable seating. ”
“ This is one of my favorite restaurants. It's not fancy or particularly special, but it's a place where you can enjoy a delicious, simple meal at a reasonable price with milk tea. I personally love the pork katsu and spaghetti combo, and I also enjoy the sausage macaroni! And now they even accept credit cards, including Amex! ”
“ HOT TIP: If you're in a hurry/have a time restraint and want to eat any of their baked items, call 30 minutes prior to arriving. Put in your order and tell them you'll arrive soon to dine in. They'll prep any baked items for you ahead of time. I almost only get their baked items so, I try to strategically plan when to call in. I've once waited my entire lunch time (all 50 minutes) because there was an oddly huge take out order ahead of us. Yes, their pork chop over rice in tomato sauce is 12/10 but don't sleep on their curry sauce! They have a parking lot in the back of house and 3 spots in the front. ”

“ Cafe Orchid is a rarity in the type of cuisine style it serves. Original Hong Kong style of Cafe oriented dishes and drinks. We have tried many places that advertise certain dishes/item in the menu as HK style, but you know what, that's not always true. Just the HK milk Teas take time to prep itself and you know when the drink comes out super fast or it actually takes time for the staff to prepare. All I got to say is, regardless if it's easy to get here or find parking here( honestly, not an issue) you have to come here! DLLM, GO NOW! P. S. Sorry for the profanity ”
“ Great Hong Kong food in Millbrae's the bake pork chop rice was excellent. Very tender and moist. The flavor was perfect with just enough tomato sauce. So your food isn't drowning in sauce. I like it this way. Only thing could be improved was the rice could be fried rice (at least in opinion). The service was quick for to go. Parking is too bad as you can park at the lot next door. ”
“ Got take out on a Sunday afternoon. Pork chop rice was average. Curry beef stew was spicy and very tasteful. The steak was the special of the day. It's not as good as before . Not sure if it's because we had it take out instead of dine in. Milk tea was very creamy with probably evaporated milk and strong tea flavor. ”
“ Cafe Orchid has been a part of Millbrae for as long as I can remember and I decided out of the blue to try it out again. It's definitely a HK style restaurant that has had it's fair share of struggles during the pandemic, but seems to be doing well as of late as I see locals often visiting. Parking is definitely difficult and the entrance to the small parking lot behind the restaurant is a bit poorly designed. It is also easy to miss since there is only one lane in and out of it. I thought the service was pretty good despite what others have said. It depends on your experience, but I've had no issues with it so far. They definitely encourage you to use cash rather than card for payment. I recently ordered the Baked Pork Chop with Rice ($13.95). It won't blow your mind, but it was good and hit the spot. Coming into a cafe like this that was definitely my expectation. I like how the edges of the pork had a bit of a crisp and it was tender all around. The sauce had a pretty nostalgic taste to the other tomato sauces that I had growing up eating HK style food. You will also be dissapointed if you are expecting this to be some gourmet tomato sauce because that isn't really the norm for HK style baked pork chops. So tone down the pretentiousness a bit! It's still some good food. They also give a ton of rice and this dish definitely fills you up. The only downside is the location, but otherwise this is a solid spot for Hong Kong style comfort food especially for Millbrae. ”
